Hi,

I had recently removed some windscreen trims and when I came to putting them on, they clicked in a bit, but always were sticking out and was a lot of clearance, I'm thinking this could be because i might have damaged the clips taking them out.

So I'm wondering what method can I use to put them back in and make them sit flush?

I'm thinking

1. break away and remove the clips, then just use sikaflex to stick them back on.

2. Break away the old clips, buy new clips. Dig into the factory sealant a bit, then apply sikaflex. Stick the new clips into the freshly applied sikaflex and wait for sikaflex to half dry.
Now push chrome trims into the clips so they click on, then wait for the new sikaflex to harden.

What do you guys think, How do Windscreen repairers or spray painters do it?

Any suggestions welcome, hopefully Toyota Stocks the clips.
