Yeah it's okay.
Acceptable or a big no no?
Toyota want $5something each for the things, fuck that
Anything stopping me from hitting up a decent engineering store and getting 12.7 M10 bolts? Not sure on the length or shank on them though.
Yeah it's okay.

Okay to reuse or buy some random ones?
I've got a freshly calibrated torque wrench too
Okay to re-use older one. Just a visual inspection to make sure they're in good condition and lubricate them lightly on the threads & under the head to make sure you get the right torque.

man, they are so cheap from toyota, you may aswell get some !!.
i think i payed like $2-3 for them but thats trade price. even so $40 bux is nothing when you think of the damage that loose flywheel can do.
but yeh i have used old ones over and over before.
i dont have a funny or cool signature.
$5 was trade price lol
He even suggested going elsewhere
Yeh I re use mine. As bill said. Just a bit of low strength loctite on the thread and under the head for correct torquing.

I just shelled out for ARP on my GZE. Wasn't too expensive IIRC, and I don't have to worry about them at all.
ARP are nearly the same price as the TGP ones lol
If I could get my hands on them by Sat I would get some but I have nfi where.
I got mine from performance wholesale, but that's in Brisbane...
If I knew the history of the bolts I'd re-use them.
On a wrecker engine or in a new (for me) car I'd fork out for some new ones.

I need a working 4AGE bottom end. Pref smallport GZE, but all others considered. Also complete motors.
Drift Volvo. Was fun. 2JZ next time.
I like Hen's advice. If you know the history (never over torqued), then add a little loctite and go for it. I've only built 10 engines (shade tree mechanic), but have never had issue when i resused them.

$40 it's fuck all, I never re-use them. To me for such little out lay it's not worth it if you had a failure. I have seen a few flywheels come off cranks and it's not pretty.
How many on stock 86kW 4A's?
