    Default RN85 LSD Conversion

    Hey Guys,
    Putting a 3rz into the hilux and once i do the conversion i will want to put a new LSD into the rear end. Im planning on going to a 3.9 ratio instead of the 4.1 i believe. Just wondering what LSD i can put into it. Any of the other 4wd models run a 3.9 that i could use just as a centre??
    Thanks

    although being an RN85 it will be easier than what pure insanity did as you will not need to modify anything - that is if you use a Supra LSD centre.

    The question really has two halves:
    * LSD conversion
    * change in ratio

    I'm not sure what ratios came it what cars. But as far as LSD goes you have the Supra one, Eaton TrueTrac I think if you want to go Torsen LSD.

    Okay thanks mate,

    So i will be able to get a supra diff and it will bolt straight in without machining off the pinion or making spacers but i may have to get new bearings still.

    Thanks for the info mate

    well i found out that you can get a G305 out a MA70 supra and its a torsen LSD and it has a 3.7:1 so it should be okay once its superharged lol or i might look into the MX83. What would be more redily available as well as something that isn't going to be as thrashed??
