We're probably interested in accommodation Clint. There are 4 of us, and two cars thus far. Did you speak to Dave and Heather?
For those of you considering attending Toyfest this year, I'm about to start looking into accom, if there is enough interest and the possability of a group booking for flights if we can agree on similar flight times.
Personally, I'd like to fly into Sydney Friday afternoon October 1st, and fly out Monday afternoon October 4th. due to other commitments I will not be staying for the trip to the drags on Wednesday October 6th as is usually planned.
Accom wise, the same deal as the last few years applies - location is inner Sydney with easy access to transport and tourist stuff too. Rate usually works out to approx $60 per person per night, and there is 24 hour secure parking also available at the venue, for anyone bringing a car.
Let me know if you're interested in accom and or flights, so I can determine rooms needed and availability?!

Like last year I would be interested in accomodation on the Sunday night after beerfacing if possible.

Hi,
If the location of the drinkies is outer west... will this change your plans to accomodate yourselves in the inner city?

You're planning on moving Lowenbrau!? Party foul.

Lowenbrau was shite last year. No games, Pork Knuckle was dry/over cooked and atmosphere was crap.
I was hoping drinks would still be in the city at another German establishment like Belgian Bier Cafe, Essen or Bavarian Bier Cafe. Trouble with outer west is the lack of decent venues to kick on afterwards. That and being Grand Final night they will all be filled with degenerate bogans.

How about the Prague?

I vote for Essen... the meals there are 100 times better than the Lowenbrau.
Also the meal/drinks being out west would suck for most people as it's easier to take public transport into the City... good for not encouraging drink driving, and all that bisso
While I will agree that the Lowenbrau has never really been the attraction for me (aside from the beerfest flyer last year with the rather attractive blonde lass with "big blue eyes"), my trip over is always a mixture of cars, friends and holiday. This means doing "tourist" things too, so an accom venue outside of easily accesable sites is not favourable to me personally. As a tourist in your owercrowded city, I'd like to stay central to public transport and site seeing venues - as the costs of travel continue to increase, I think it's wise to combine as much together as visitors can.
Alternatively, if you can keep me entertained for the duration of my holiday out west, I'll consider that too, but I've done Aqua Golf, Krispy Kremes, and the Olympic Rowing Centre previously. Feel free to comment on the central location debate, as I know you have as many issues pleasing people regarding location as everyone else does!

Showing possible interest for both the wife and I for accomm on the Fri/Sat/Sun nights. Will get back to you at a later date.
Forgot to say Clint, we need accommodation for 5 nights, Sat->Wed, we're leaving Sydney Thursday.

Um might wanna check that one they will probably already be setting up the track as the race is generally the week after the long weekend.
Edit: Practice starts 07/10/2010 so I would think they may well be setting stuff up. Maybe an email to Bathurst council to check about road closures/delays around the event.

Pretty sure Nathan checked it, and Monday was the last day it was open.
