    Default 2tg & 2tgeu timing gears. Do they swap?

    Hi.
    I bought a Rollmaster 2tg timing chain and gear kit but found the camshaft gears are different to 2tgeu gears. Example i.d is 19mm instead of 21mm, offset is 5mm further forward & pin holes are 10mm dia instead of 8mm.
    Idler gears are same as standard 2tgeu.
    Has anyone found this before, what I have read it should interchange.
    The head and camshafts are stock 11111-88261
    Any help appreciated.

    Left = 18R-G late and 2T-G, adjustable.
    Centre hole 21.0mm, pin holes suit 6mm pin.

    (Late model 18R-G and 2T-G cam gears are interchangable)

    Right = 18R-G and 18R-G early model
    Centre hole 13mm (not used, so size doesn't matter), 8mm bolt (x3) and dowel holes (x1).

    These mount with three 8mm bolts (8.3mm holes), locate on a fixed dowel and have a different offset as they mount backwards on a different design of camshaft.

    Do the ones that you got resemble any of these?

    Can you post a photo and confirm the size of the hole in the middle?

    Hi Steve M.
    The new gears match the 18R-G early one. the kit part number is CS9020 which says 2tg. I will have to contact seller and see if they can be changed.
    Edit; the pin holes in new gear are 8mm and original gear are 6mm my mistake.I will post a photo tonight.
