getting keen for this, this will be my second track day (first was an eastern creek day) hopefully someone will be able to talk me through the track with some helpful hints.
do they do a run through of the track before you go out like EC?

Cuzzo - yeah as Dylan said stiffer springs will help, toying with the idea but it's not top of the list at the moment. Partly because it would probably become +lower ride height, +negRCAs, +shortening shocks, +castor adjustment...
It was quite manageable before and actually doesn't do much damage to the tyre with no weight on it, but it's worse after the rear brace/removed interior/new pads. I did actually notice i was able to lock the right rear just with moderately heavy, controlled braking in a straight line on the street but that may have to do with the current shape of the tyre.
I'm going to back the rear swaybar off a notch as the chassis stiffening has changed things a little and see how that goes, also going to move the battery to the boot (but that won't be before this day).
Yojimbo - i've got a spot for you - fire me a PM confirming you're good to go and i'll reply with bank details.
Also, as is probably apparent above, there's a spot or two that might open up last minute.

That i have been doingbut i'm just not up for the wetsuit to lie in the rain
but in braking news...it lives !!
Only a test run as the TB needs to come off to have a new TPS modded to fit. Some god awful air leak that squeals at a zillion high pitched deciblesi'll sealant up the gaskets on the final fitment.
Sounds tough as but my hastily fabricated exhaust looks like it will have two parts of fark all ground clearance and might need a last minute visit to an exhaust shop for some a tad radical![]()

I'll be driving down on Friday morning - will be heading along the M4 though. If you see a Soarer on a trailer being towed by a bronze Land Rover Discovery just tag along![]()
i will go down the M4 as well. any chance you wanna meet at the maccas at ****am?

Damo, M4? Perhaps you mean M5? Or are you going M2, M7? Either way Glenn, i don't think he's going down the M4 as that would take him up the mountains.
Also, anybody up for a last minute spot? I know Steve was talking a chance but as it stands i currently have one spot free, and will possibly have another in the next day or so.
Anybody keen needs to get to me quickly as i have to go to Brisvegas for the week (and very likely the next) so my internets will be a little restricted... I will also be flying back in on Thursday arvo and then packing the car and turning around and heading straight to the meet...
So currently for the Brooks Rd at 8pm meet (i could say earlier but really i'd probably just be late) i'm expecting;
Vito
Brian (Quad82)
Adam (Drifty - bringing the timer? I may want to borrow it again!Oh and got your $60)
Alex (alex90)
Nathan (nknoxy12)
Anybody else please let me know asap, and you probably need to give me some cash for it too.
So far for Friday i have;
Vito
Brian
Adam
Lewis (Lewx)
Josh (sxtool)
Again, anybody else keen please let me know so we can make sure we have room.
If you're not coming down with us on Thursday please make sure you're down at the track and sorted ready for the drivers briefing at 8:45am - pays to be signed in before this and ready to go. If you don't find me beforehand head to the office in front of the staging area to sign in and check with the desk outside on the way: just tell them you're in my group and your name. Then come say hi at some point. If it's your first time out on the track find me or someone who knows it to show you round if you'd like; Warwick's briefings are getting pretty light on as most people are regulars on our days so it might pay to get a few pointers on the do's and don't's before you get in his way; he can forget not everybody has been doing this for years.
If you have any questions fire away and i or someone else who's been a few times will answer. Important bits to remember are licence, helmet, closed shoes, long pants and sleeves.

I had noticed Warwick's briefing tend more and more toward comedy, and less and less toward at least the basic important facts
m4 -> m7 is also a good way to get to the meet point (my usual way)
Have a great day guys, bummed to miss it![]()
What's your weak excuse again? Same as last time?

Garth, put me into one of the spots if its available please. I'll make sure I give the hurry up to the workshop (they do know I've got a deadline).
I'll be coming down Thurs night regardless.
Greg, any chance of borrowing your brake pads like I'd previously asked?
Stupid me only remembered that you were going over to Europe today when I asked Ed about finding some brake pads like I had in my previous Dina...
Anyone know if a CAMS L2S licence is good enough for Wakefield, or do you still need to get one of theirs?
so do i need a special license?

Transfer me some cash then. And L2S is fine - if you don't have a CAMS you need a valid drivers licence and $60(?) to get one of their 12 month ones.
