what does this wire do????

just making the new loom for the 4AGZE (in ae86)

this wire was with the plugs that go to the alternator....its yellow with a black trace and a single spade terminal.

I cant find a spot on the alternator for it, where and what does it do???

I think that may be oil pressure sender signal.

Tucked in behind the aircon compressor on a ZE

That is the oil pressure sender.

Thats the oil pressure SENDER for an oil pressure gauge (NOT an oil "idiot" light)
