Yes, 20V extractors will fit a 16V GE head, you need to slot the outer bolt holes though as the stuts are in _slightly_ different locations.
hey,
i have a ae92 GTI corolla with a 20v & i want to get extractors for it,
now i went to autobarn & found that the 20v & the orignal 16v have the same manifold gasket code so the extractors for the 16v should fit the 20v? & if they do will they perform the same seeing as there for the 16v? also is the brand hurricane any good? looking at a set of 4-1 tuned length ones from hurricaneso yeah any help will be much appreciated
thanks
aaron
EDIT: also if you have a set for sale or know of some can you direct me too them i dont mind buying 2nd hand if they are in fine working order with no leaks or cracks

What is wrong with the stock 20v headers? They are a set of extractors anyway. Blacktop are slightly larger.
ok what would happen if i got a set of stock blacktop extractors then? if that would help then anyone got a set?
which model 20v do you have?
To modify the flange it's ideal to clamp on a 20V flange to what you have to drill though them both. One hole will just touch the other on one end and the other will drill though about half the radius.
4age headers/extractors (especially 20v) are usually accepted to be good for up to around 200hp, so unless you've got some serious cams/compression, the factory manifold should be fine, if a little heavier than an aftermarket set.
This is a shot of stock blacktop manifold :
There's not a lot of weight to be saved.
Also worth noting if you are trying to fit them to a 16v with the starter mounted at the front cyclinder 1 will require modding as it doesn't clear the starter by default.
i have the 4age silvertop 20v but i guess there pointless seeing as its stock motorwise
thanks guys
Improvements can be had by replacing the secondary pipe (goes under the engine between the pipes shown above and the cat) with a larger diameter custom piece. The stock pipe is very restrictive.

The cat from my blacktop halfcut is 2-1/2" id, if that's any help.
