    Default LN61 and YN63 Differences

    gday

I was wondering if anyone knew of any differences between the LN61 and YN63 4 runners?

Mine has IFS, and leaf rear, its an SR5 4Y but no plates anywhere, so i cant 100% identify it

anybody know which model it could be?

    cheers

IFS is a year thing, I think in 86 they became IFS.
YN63 means it has a 'Y' motor. LN61 means it has an 'L' motor (diesel)
You'll also see the chassis number stamped somewhere in the engine bay (if the plate has been removed).

4Y is also a year thing, I think in about 87 they changed from the 3Y to the 4Y

Same car different motors , all YN 63 ,s had 4Y,s which started in 1986 All diesels had the 2L but the IFS diesels had super glow.
The older models were the LN60 and YN 60 with the 3Y live axel bone shaker fronts.

I guess you may not have to sit there while the glow plugs warm up before you start it....?

Super glow is about 5 seconds instead of 25 . 7 volt glow plugs instead of 11 V and heat up faster then switch thru a resistor for the after glow.
