Default Pulling instrument cluster out of XT14X corona

I decided i wanted to take the stupid green "condoms" off the cluster light globes as i prefer the look of yellowish white light to green (might not matter as it looks like the cluster lettering is a green colour anyway)

but I couldn't get the cluster out, removed the shroud without any trouble, undid the 4 screws that hold it in place but something was holding it from behind, probably the speedo drive and loom plugs.

anyone pulled one of these out before? i put it all back together as I didn't want to pull the lower dash out but worst case that's what i'll do when i'm wiring up speakers etc, some noob tried to install the stereo with a post 90s head unit cage and threw away the couldn't be easier head unit brackets.

You should find 2 or 3 connectors can't remember exactly how many and the speed drive, disconnect the connectors by pushing the clips in, to remove the speedo drive you just lift the plastic clip on the inner round section and pull it out, if you can't get you hand in there, either pull the cable through the firewall a bit more or worst case disconnect it from the gearbox and give yourself more room that way, 9 times out of 10 just pulling the slack of the cable up into the cabin is enough,
    I hope that helps

cheers mate, it was a lot easier on the sprinter, the plugs plug in at the front of the cluster, not the back (from memory) and the speedo drive wasn't an issue. think i will just wait until i pull more interior out.
