    Default KE70 Twin Headlight Upgrades

Right, got a set of twin round headlights sitting in the shed and looking to slot them in to my KE70 ute to replace the large square lights. Obviously this will need custom grille which is no big deal, but what I'm interested in is bulb upgrades. Legally in NZ you can't run 4 low beam lights so the 4 semi sealed housings with 130/100W bulbs is out but I can do semi sealed outers with the 130/100W's and maybe 100 or 150W inner beams in semi sealed housings.
What i would like to know is has anyone else done this? Where was a good place to source the housings (in NZ)? Did you have any legality issues? And did you upgrade the wiring? (I will probably upgrade the wiring just to be on the safe side anyway.)

You will definately need to upgrade the wiring and fit relays.

I'd recommend the high/low spread combination with dedicated pencil beam high on the inside like you've said.

In Australia you can get replacement housings and globes from Hella and Narva. I'd guess at least Hella stuff would be available there too.

PS: Can you help me with finding some KE70 parts which are not available here but should be plentiful there? I could send you some lights in exchange if finding them locally represents a problem to you...

mmmm twin headlight 70 *drools like homer*

do you havre the ke70 twinheadligts? or some random twins?
coz if theyre the ke70 twins you could use the grill from a twin headlight ke70 aswell.
to do this i believe you need the old model front end..

Technically you're not but its a bit less obvious than 4 low beam lights. My daily driver is running 130/100W bulbs and has no problems passing WoFs (our equivelant of a roadworthy inspection).

I have the lights, grille and surrounds with the park lights in them but have the wrong model front. I intend to keep my current panels and sink the headlights in a bit with the custom grille to give it a different sort of look.
