wrap with multiple layers of opened-up coke cans, wrap that ugly mess with wire or large metal hose clamps.

intercoolor hoses/joins will burn away with exhaust gases - even if you take it very easy. At best, they'll stand up to ~150-200.

Can you get someone to tow/drag you down with a chain/rope?

nope i removed the front tow hooks so cooler piping would clear fine.

i have another idea... what if i take out the centrepipe.. cut it to the right size and jig it by soldering the two sections together? will solder bond to stainless steel? its just something to hold it together in the right position so i can take it down and go right... weld this up exactly as it is boys..

Oh it might bond to it alright, but the main problem it has a lower melting point than the hose

nah i wouldnt be putting it back on. i mean id solder it so at least its firmly together at one point... then take the whole pipe to the shop in the back of the rex... then get them to weld it down there on one side, remove the solder, then weld it all the way round?

only reason i wanna take it down there is so i can jig it up perfectly.. but if i can jig it beforehand.. then i dont need to take it down..

haha. glad you like it sprogrocket.

p.s. i chickened out. no silicon joiner entertainment to share!

instead i just jigged the pipe up myself this afternoon with lots of swearing, grunting, angle grinding, filing and marking with a thick felt pen. hopefully i can find a Mig tomorrow to sit in front of and finish up the welding

personally i would have voted for the driving with gas mask. And then prayed to god you got pulled over and ended up on "the force" or some other show on TV with the cops pulling you over in a gas mask. Failing that get a mate to vid you driving in it.

That would have been youtube material for sure.
Wish I had a F#%ken awesome toyota.. saving for the goodness now.... stay tuned....
