    Default Bundera engine swap 22R-1JZ

    Hi all,

I'm contemplating upgrading my Bundera's engine to 1JZ-gte vvti.
Gearbox will most likely be upgraded to R151F. This is to save the expense of buying a W5x bellhousing and clutch and having the G52 'box hand-grenade on me then having to source the "correct" R15x clutch and bell housing.

The question is what models came with a rear sump, vvti and R154 box?

Has anyone worked out if there any factory engine mounts that can be hybridized/canabilised to fit a 1JZ into a hilux/bundera chassis?

Off the top of my head all 1jz vvti will be front sump but 2jz vvti's came rear sump. And input shaft length is different between r154 and r151f so you can’t just use a 1jz bell on an r151f box

It doesnt matter what engine it is, they are all available in the different sump configurations and they are all interchangable. The source vehicle will determine the sump configuration.

You are going to want the rear sump from a JZZ30 Soarer or JZA70/80 Supra.

(slipway, you can get the 1JZ VVTi in the later model Soarers, and 2JZ VVTi in later Aristos so have the appropirate sumps, rear and front respectively)

I've read in here of someone machining front and rear off of a bell to gain the 30mm difference to suit the R151F, of course that may cause clearance issues to pressure plate, firewall etc. solve one problem to make more

    all info is appreciated

Dellow may make them to suit R151F.
I know they make them to suit R151F to 1UZ, so they may make JZ ones.
