The air cools down and slows down as it progresses, you'll find the biggest gains will come from the first half of the system and getting the exhaust gases from the turbo . Thats not to say there isn't any "theoretical" advantage to running a full 3" system, but it didn't seem to hold back my car making 164rwkw on the factory ECU.
The factory has a Y-pipe which joins the two turbos together, with one exhaust coming out. I *have* seen a twin-dump setup, but there is SFA room there.
I can't see there being *that* little room on the RT142, go speak to someone who will happily do a custom exhaust and see what they can fit being a little creative.
