Spoke to Neil today and he said it'll all be ready this weekend. Can't get down there Sunday, being mother's day, so I'll go to his workshop on Thursday arvo to sort a few things out then chuck it on the trailer and cruise up to the track on Friday.

I think I owe you some passenger time anyway

What back seat? lol yeah mate that's cool. You're a skinny fella so you won't have any trouble in my seat. Neil doesn't even bother trying - it gets pushed around his workshop

    Have an awesome day guys
Feeling the love too. Except mine is the panel beater who's had the car for 3 weeks after saying it'll be 10 days...

Hmmm, well seeing you won't be there, any chance then of borrowing the race pads?
Would'nt be running them the whole day, just a short time to get a feel & see if the brakes are better.

So list of things to do by next Friday:
    Get car back
    change front right hub
    get wheel alignment
    fit speed limit defender
    fit semi slicks to rims
    fit boost gauge
    fit bleed valve
    ...

And as said, there's nothing stopping you running your own timing - it's just that 'official' timing means higher insurance premiums and no passengers.
    haha true.

Greg, that's a shame. So what's your car doing, just sitting in the garage alone? Want me to take it out for a run and stretch it's legs for you?

Shane - 3 weeks is pretty shit! Hope you get it sorted - let me know as if that's the only issue there are ways and means around it

In other news, i have added to teh parts collection; however may not have them installed in time as my overnighting parts from Japan isn't proving to be literally overnight...

Nath - what's the word from your dad? Be good to see him back out there again, it's been a little while.

I'm not sure you will need to remove the speed limit defender for Wakefield. I was just getting to 140 at the kink on the main straight. So unless you a better driver than me (quite probable) then you probably don't need to worry about that.

If I put the track tyres on, they're quite a bit smaller.
205/45R16 vs proper size 205/50R16 & I was hitting 165 ish on the speedo.
Now I have better brakes & suspension.

Mine is remote mounted off the 'remote mount' oil filter...is that what you mean?

yeah kinda.. i think i'll have to get pirteck to make up a flexible hose that will screw into the original location on the block and then into the vdo sender.. i heard a rumor that grease guns share the same thread and make good for remote sensor mounting..
