a more realistic price, well draza can probably answer this better as he paid for labour on his, i did all mine myself and it still cost me $4500 in parts and engineering
i am gonna take a stab and say, wiring about $700, fitting an removing engine, doing seals, belts, fab work etc. about $3500. engineering $600
you know the rule, take what you think it will cost, tripple it and add contingency, so that would be about ohhh $10,000

00' MR2 ZZW30... Hers
ok for just a swap over, using parts off the halfcut.
Halfcut $2200
Clutch $1000
Exaust $1000
Wiring $700
Gearbox $650
Labour $1500
Engineers cert $600
blue slip $45
Seals and other little parts like oil $500
New brake pads $140, larger brakes needed for engineers cert..
Nice round total of $8335 or about that.
Do the seals while its out, it will make the engine last longer till you have to do them again. Know how far you're gonna take it before starting then work out what you'll need to get it that far. That clutch and exaust i got will take me as far as i want to get it.
