tried swapping the ignitor over? checked the efi fuses and that sorta stuff?
Hi there,
I've got a random issue with my 3TGTE which I've just put into a T18.
The injectors are not being fired by the ECU. I've stuck an LED indicator into the plug, and the ECU isn't firing them while cranking, however it pulses once when I turn the ignition off???
As far as I know it should work, as i've driven this engine in another car before swapping it over. I can't find anything wrong with my wiring, so I was wondering if there's any "safety" circuit that I might have not connected that might stop the ECU from firing?
Something with the knock control perhaps?
I'm a bit lost with EFI wiring...

Ignitor tested and working, and power is getting everywhere it should.
Anything else that might stop the ecu earthing out the injectors?

It's probably the fuel cut/boost sencer. It earths through the body. Can't remember what pin it is. Needs to be grounded or it won't fire the injectors. Only the cold start injector will fire.

sounds very odd that it is pulsing them when you turn the key off...
ide suggest checking relays... but thats just a random stab in the dark...
do the injectors see 12v with ignition on?
is you ecu getting powered constantly?
seems weird that it pulses after ignition is turned off... as i was pretty sure the ecu controls the pulsing by grounding the injector wire that it needs to fire... so if the ecu is off (ie ignition is off) it shouldnt have any way of grounding injectors and making them fire/pulse...
+ Rep for Triptek!!! we did that, and it runs. That's what the issue turned out to be... ECU didn't want to fire injectors without that being earthed...
