    Default Goodridge Brake Lines

does anyone know if these are legal?

according to this site http://www.johnstamnas.com/products/brakelines.html they are legal but i was hoping for someone that had actually used them to give me an idea?? i am considering getting them for the supra as they are 1/3rd the price of other lines just not sure on the legality...

below is what is stated on the site i am getting them from..

Goodridge Stainless Steel Brake Lines for 1993-98 Supra

Decrease your stopping distance, upgrade your brakes today! Price includes all 4 brake lines, installation hardware, and instructions.

Stainless steel brake lines are an often overlooked simple and affordable upgrade to ANY vehicle on the road today. Their are numerous factual and proven benefits to stainless steel brake lines compared to inferior OEM rubber hoses:

Eliminate the possibility of rubber hose cracking or bursting, possibly causing an accident
Reduce the distance required to stop
    Prevent condensation
Prevent heat build up (great for road-racing, auto-crossing, etc.)
Allow maximum flow of pressure to the brake calipers when the brake pedal is depressed
    Eliminate that spongy feel
Why Goodridge? Goodridge is THE name in stainless steel brake lines.

All Goodridge line kits are legal for use on any public road
All Goodridge line kits are DOT approved
All Goodridge line kits are TUV / ISO9002 approved
All Goodridge line kits are 100% direct bolt-on replacement kits
All Goodridge line kits have a lifetime warranty
Goodridge has offices worldwide, they have offices in the USA (3 locations), United Kingdom, France, Germany, Japan, Netherlands, and Spain.

If you did not know: Goodridge makes all the brake lines for TRD. You could pay more and buy the TRD in a different box, but why? It is the exact same lines in a different box!

    thanks

    Glenn

Goodridge to my knowledge are ADR approved (fits are ADR approved too) where as the Earl's fittings aren't ADR approved... This was what I was told when getting my brake lines made up by the two...

Glenn, there's a couple of topics already on this covering all the associated legislation.

In short they are legal since they meet a recognised international standard (ISO9001)
The legislation was changed in 2006 to recognise the international standards.

BTW, you can get the Goodridge hoses from e-bay UK for under $130 delivered to your door in ~4 days!

I run them, as well as a couple of other AW11 drivers and did all the research on the legality at the time.

Hey Glenn, I did in fact get them, haven't had the chance to test them to their full abilities but overall pleased with the results thus far. Mine were custom fabricated @ Race Brakes Sydney Link, very very happy with the service I received

yep, the only difference is the colour of the plastic that they put on the outside.

you may need to wait a little longer for the coloured ones too.

not really, they tend to have quite a few sets of the clear coated ones in the shelf for each model.

Mine were put in the post within 2 hours of orderring them when I bought mine (I received a tracking number at the time).
