Im guessing this is a '89-'93 car, in which case the ISCV can be pulled apart fairly easily (2 or 3 screws holding them together), later ones were sealed units, all you can do is spray a shitload of WD40 in them and hope for the best

ECU diagnostics is TE1 and E1,

my risto didnt want to start that Monday nite leaving the missus house, turned out to be the 'fuel pump control signal' i guess some of the elecs got wet and shorted or something, i reset the ecu, all has been good, pull codes, reset ecu, drive, pull codes! if it was water, you wont have any codes to pull 2nd time round!

    No worries man.. Cheers anyway..

I'm gonna pull it apart at work tomorrow and clean it out.. With
    any luck it'll be sweet..

If not, it can stay clamped for a while till I get time to figure out whether it's electrical or mechanical issues..

May be inheriting a 2001 540i with lotsa M goodies anyway so the celsior may be for sale again..
