    Default By-passing door switch

i am having an issue with my elec system, and i also have a dud door switch, until i can track down a door switch i cant turn off my interior lights which means i cant work out my other issue

how do i by pass it so the car thinks the door is shut, is it as simple as bridging the wires?

    Thanks

Pull the wire off the back of the switch. You can tape it off if you want, on my car there's a plastic sheath covering the contacts so tape isn't needed.

door switch circuit is open when door closed.

when door opens, the switch grounds..
either pull wire off switch, or disconnect plug before it reaches door.

pulling the bulb won't make the car think the door is shut.

Oh, I just assumed he didn't want the interior light on so as to not drain his battery, backed up by him just pulling the fuse.
