    Default 7MGE head machining

    any1 know an engineer who can work a 7MGE head at a reasonable cost? thanks

    What do you want done?

    Porting?
    Chamber work?
    Oversize valves?
    Cams?

    thanks mate.. do you know someone or can you do them yourself?.. basically it needs to be pressure tested, machined (shaved), have valves grinded.. will know exactly what needs doing next week after i've had it tested.

    Dunno if you are still looking, but I've had very good results with Hi Torque, Plenty Road Preston, just on the northern side of Southern Road, on the western side of the road.

    Very down to earth guy, does a lot of BMW heads for the local dealership, charge around $800 for a full 7MGE guide, machine, clean, reassemble and lap job. He hardness tests before he starts work, once even gave me a rebuildable head for a XF Falcon which is still going five years later.
