st165 to 205 engine conversion diff question
Will the rear diff also need to be from a 205 or can I keep my 165 diff and 205 box together?
The final drive variance is .05 according to some specs i found.

    thanks.

Final drive difference effects both the front & rear diffs together. It's the ratio before the transfer case.

I had the final drive changed in my Caldina box to something taller.

That said, which diff is the better of the 2, or doesn't the 205 diff fit into the 165 cradle?
