I have a set of KU36 205/50R15's on 15x6.5" rims, they fit fine without looking like balloons.
They also perform extremely well, so I don't believe they have lost any performance by being on a 6.5" instead of a 7"
have an oppertunity to buy some 6.5 inch wide 15 inch rims reasonably cheap for track rims, just wondering if im going to be able to fit 205s on these well and not loose and performance of the tyre etc
obviously a 7 inch would be nice but im having a bit of trouble finding some that are cheap
as im using them for track rims i want them to be up to the task other wise i may aswell wait till a set of 7inch wide pops up. I would be running 205/50/15 semi slicks on them

got a picture of the fitment?
I have 215/4517's on 7.5 and look perfect, but different construction tyres have sidewalls that work differently...
if you are planning to go to slicks at all, go with the recommended width for them...

yeah defanetly be fine. Your talking 0.5" difference overall the whole width of the rim which is hardly anything anyway.
Fitment guidelines are for a 5.5" to 7.5" inch rim for that size tyre, based on the Toyo website so you should be fine.

yeah that will be cool, can fit 225's on 6.5's without any dramas, just a bit of a bulge
There is no substitute for PUBIC inches

On my car I have a 205 on a 8" wide rims, this only gives slight stretch
Also my mum's car has 205/50 on a 15x6/6.5, slight bulge but nothing massive
I run 205/50/15 on a 15x8 rim, only a little stretch (a little off topic though)
