he all, i dont have pics to illustrate what im talking about, but on RA23's there is a "crease" at the sill of the car that runs the entire wheelbase of the car yes? well, i noticed on my RA23 today, it does nopt, it stops at the door and tapers off...is this at all normal??
it kinda looks better like this, a bit "cleaner", but i dont know if its factory or a bit of custom work from a previous life

it doesnt, thats the weird thing, :S its rubbed back, fenders and doors are metal through and through(cept for rust)

was there a diff with regards to the style line between RA23's, 25's and 28's?? obviously its limited to the R family celicas since they had longer fender panels than T series celicas.
ah oops, this is at the rear quarter panel, sorry, the fornt has the creae ,as it reaches the back of the door, the crease joins with the door line and is non existant at the back

ahhh well there you go, could possibly be a difference between T and R series celicas. sound slike it must have had some cosmetic surgery done at some stage in it s life. you know how its like with these old girls when their features start to sag lol.
jimmmayy just a word of warning when refering to them as T and R series. Ive got a TA23 which has the same body as an RA23 but different running gear and therefore would have the same crease as the RA23. Its prob more accurate to go by 21, 22, 23, 25, 27 and 28 series.
no worriesi don't pretend to be an expert with *A2* celicas.
what about the 29??? heh heh.
i quite like the way it looks, but theres something nice about it being "completely" original, even though you might not notice this unless id pointed it out.

Hi,
I'd exclude the 25 (and 27 for that matter) also, as it doesn't have longer panels of the 23/28, as the 25 is, in reality, a TA22 liftback, as it's built on the same chasis.
There were some sublte differences in the "phase two" 25/27 models over the initial batch, to keep the same panels and interior across the 25/27 and the newly introduced long-nose 22 series, which were introduced in Jan 1974. Not sure about the sill though.
The 25 has a sill cover that goes up to the crease you speak of, whereas the 28 doesn't have this sill cover and just a chrome strip along the very bottom, which meanes you can see the crease more easily on the 28 than on the 25. Oh, and the crease goes all the way from the front wheel arch to the rear wheel arch.
I'm referring to the first batch RA25... April-Dec 73. Not sure about the Jan 74 - Dec 75 series, but I think they may be the same. I have some brochures on both types, so I can have a look.
