Default Valve clearances with stiffer springs

    Hey Guys,

This is probably a silly one, but i am just curious.

Will valve clearances change appreciably with stiffer valve springs?

My thinking is they probably shouldn't, but i guess it would depend on how well mated the valve is to the seat.

The head has been freshly machined, at the moment i still have the stock springs but will be replacing with stiffer springs in the future. Should i wait until i get the stiffer springs to check the clearances?

    Cheers
    Nathan

If the seats have been cut it is likely you will need a reshim anyway.

I am converting to shimless buckets so i need to measure all of them to to figure out what i need regardless.

Was just hoping i could do it before i get the springs.
