    Default 4age 20v BT + T3, airbox?

    Hey All...

Just wanted to enquire if anybody knows where I could pickup an airbox that could host my T3 Velocity stacks?

Dimensions of the T3 Velocity stacks ...

Anybody got any thoughts on where I could get/purchase/make an airbox that enclose the VC?

    Thanks in advance...

I've seen the above in raw CF, looked pretty snazzy.
The above opinion is just that - my opinion. It is not shared by any business that I am currently or have previously been involved with, nor any of their employee's.

only old deteriorated ones that are crumbly.. brand new uni filter socks work perfect.. i ran them with an open airbox on my Levin for Ages with no dramas..

I've seen the EFI Hardware boxes, and they are dam expensive, the non CF units come in at a little above $400 freighted to my door!!!!! Not to mention, that aren't exactly very friendly either...

I've seen the Fiberglass units at Tweatit...

Has anybody had experience with the FG ones and what are their service like? None the less, a 4.5" inlet... That would be good for induction... Any thoughts on FG boxes?

I got the Unifilter socks, and was tempted to use them... but with the amount of hot air in that specific location, I'm very reluctant to use them... not to mention, that would render the car illegal...

What have some others done on their BT / ST 20Vers?

    Thanks in advance...

Don't they usually put big springs into the filters to stop them collapsing?

I run T3 stacks and Unifilter socks in my daily. It gets a bit of fresh air from the chunky intake.

I was tempted to run Unifilter socks... But alas, there is one problem... this is going into an AW11 with a Blacktop 20v, and hence, airflow to that side of the engine bay is very limited at best.

    Thanks...

i run short (15mm) velocity stacks with the green unifilter socks. they come with wires in the. never had a drama.

one problem though i remember is one guy on here, cant remember who, got a backfire through the throttle at high revs which set the filtersock on fire and thus most of the rest of the engine. this was on a race 4a in 86 but. could be pretty nasty in an aw11 all enclosed n whatnot

    mine were about 45mm long..

i did make an airbox for it.. hence the folded plate the stacks are welded to.. but it was way too small.. think it only worked out to be about 4L... the engine really choked at high rpm.. i didn't get a chance to make a bigger one before selling it.. but the new few owners of the 86 didn't run anything different to my filter socks.. before it was T-boned.. now the drive line is being put into a black 86 somewhere up north QLD.. see if it still has those socks on it hahaha...
