    Default 1GZ-FE confusion

Can anyone tell me what these are(circled in white)? They are on the back of the inlet manifolds on my 1GZ, they have vaccum lines in and out of them. They are between a vaccum port just on the inlet side of the throttle body and the vaccum accumulators(?) for the variable length intake runners.

    Cheers

    Agree with Gav.

They are used so the ecu (or some other sensor) can control a vacuum supply to something.

Given their location, and what they are, I agree with the above. My 1G had a similar thing for the TVIS.

Ha ha im actually probably going to keep them. ITBs are not necessary as its going to be force fed! Check members ride thread out if you havent already. Its not twin turbo 1uz anymore its now going to be twin turbo 1gz.

Yep. Its tight but should make for a nice little combo haha. Justen is trying to twist my arm into making a custom plenum for it etc which may happen just not too sure yet.I like the idea of the long runners and the variable length intake runners. I like the idea of a shit load of torque its not gonna be dyno queen or horsepower hero car i just want something different that goes hard and does top gear burnouts

How wide is the engine bay in an RA23, i had the same idea for my RA28, but not to sure if i can get it to fit between the strut towers. not having an engine to measure doesnt help but it was going to be tight with the 351 windsor i had originally planned on squeezing in, let alone the 1GZ beast of an engine.

I am pretty convinced on buying one anyway, if i cant get it to fit i will find a car it will fit in with around the same wieght as the RA28.

How far along has this project come so far???
Have you run into many troubles with the engine conversion or havent gotten that far yet??
