Oh why o why hinges & leaks

Hey guys,

I bought an RA28 late last year, I love it to death. I am having a couple of problems and need some sources.

1) Door Hinges... (a) Replace with standard? (b) Replace with modern custom? or (c) Is there some kind of repair.

2) Leaking in the rear boot... Really I need to know of a good mechanic/bodyshop that will deal with leaks.

Please bear in mind I'm in Melbourne.

You can buy the new bushes for the hinghes. Pretty sure a guy here does them and tells you how to replace them.

I would not replace the hinghes with anything other than original.

Leaking in the boot - You can get new seals off ebay, however with the ra28 it's sometimes around the rear windscreen, so any windscreen joint and pull it out and reseal it.

As for the leaking in the rear, its possible its the windscreen seal, or the boot rubber, or indeed could be getting in around the tail lights too.

If you have a vague idea where the water is pooling, get in the boot with a torch.. have mate run a hose over the back of the car, and go from there.
