I just checked the RTA website and changing to a 2JZ-GE is considered a minor modification and no engineer's report is required. I'm not sure about changing the engine numbers on my rego though. Does that need a blue slip or just a pink slip.

Blue slip is required for an engine number change........it's a simple adjustment of records.
