Camry/Apollo Immobiliser help!

Hi,

I have a 1996 Apollo and the remote for the immobiliser is dead. Changed the battery and it still doesn't work. I've given up on it and just want to get rid of it however I had a look under the dash and I can't seem to find the module for the factory alarm. Any ideas where or how I can just get rid of or disable the factory alarm?

Have you followed the directions in the owner's manual?
