I am thinking about running an EMU down the track as well. Does anyone think its worth buying one from the states as they seem to be about $400 cheaper?

i haven't seen a new one in Aus for less than $1000 new and $800 s/hand
the states should be cheaper than that. with a saving of $400 you can buy the LC1 wideband O2sensor boost pressure cables and more. for easy tuning.

Why do they call it a Microleb, or Lebtech?

When I got mine, I bought from the states (off ebay).
Your coin is for you to spend!
If local suppliers can't offer competative prices then either they are a greedy prick, their supplier is a greedy prick or their are to many people with their finger in the pie (it goes thru to many sets of hands and each person is jacking up the price for the end consumer)!

Same said for a good wide band. I have an Innovate, I like it and would buy another if required. Haltech WB's are rebadged Innovates. But an Innovate will normally be cheaper.

Buying oversees will probably get you a better price so long as the Aussie dollar is half decent.
You will probably also get it faster, too!

i bought my LC1 W/B innovate with guage DB kit, from USA in Nov 08 for $289. better price than Aust. great service also.
So an Ultimate from OS would probably be cheaper also than Aus. Go for it, you know you want too.

Plenty of info on Soarercentral about Emanage as well, Cihan on there sells and tunes cars with Emanage and has quite a good reputation, I would go Emanage Ultimate for the extra features as well.

If you were spending around the 1K mark on an ultimate, I'd get an Adaptronic instead.

I've installed a bunch of emanage blues on 1jz's with good results all round.

There is much less involved in getting an EMU up and running compared to a full stand alone. Besides, after wiring loom, MAP sensor and igniter(s) an Adaptronic would cost plenty more.
Appart from the lack of inputs/outputs on the EMU, they don't have the limitation of load sensor manipulating interceptors. You get to keep the factory knock sencing too (if it's any good )

I know the QLD Adaptronic dealer does "plug-in" 1JZ looms for a couple of hundred $ if wiring one in is too hard for someone, also has a couple of 1J base maps that need very little work to fine tune to the specific engines. The adap can't run the JZ ignitor so you need to use something like a bosch or Nissan unit, or convert to late Toyota COP's with built in ignitors. All other sensors work fine along with the ISCV.

Wiring an adaptronic in is only a few more wires than wiring in an emanage ultimate.

With the emanages you will also need a 3 bar sensor to map over 2 bar absolute.

They gained 'street' notoriety by being in kebab-spec WRX's.

"Sick uleh, check out my WRX bro - it's got a fully hektik Microtech running all the boosts".
The above opinion is just that - my opinion. It is not shared by any business that I am currently or have previously been involved with, nor any of their employee's.

i run 540 sards too with a rising rate fuel reg on stnadard computer
runs like a champ when the motors warm but when cold the bloody thing misses if you give it any throttle, u have to baby it for about 6kms or so, even have to rev it between gearshifts or itll just cough and splutter when u let the clutch out. must be overfueling when cold something shocking and fouling the plugs

hence me wanting to get an emanage, fix this issue, lower my fuel pressure, make more power
