Hey guys,
Im trying to sort out this issue with my car miss firing.
I went to two different autopart stores and they dont have a dizzy cap or rotor listed for the Ae92 seca SX 100kw 4age.
So they have given me two different dizzy caps which both fit/bolt up ok but for some reason they havent supplied the right Rotor button ( supplied two different ones that dont fit) and the rotor button is chewing out the inside of the cap. one i have is like a "T" type one and i have been supplied a Round one?
Can someone please tell me some part number as this is getting too confusing![]()
cheers,
dan

Have you tried going genuine? Not sure if there still available but they should be. There a little pricey but worth the money
Perhaps upgrade to a cam angle sensor and coil pack ignition from an ae101 4agze.
I believe Autobarn, repco and supershit can order the parts you need in, you cant really look under corolla though, you/person at the store may need to look under sprinter, or levin that has the 4age engine in it Although bigport i think they are swappable (you can always take it back... i think), as there seems to be no sx or gti corolla's listed in there books.
hope this helps
rotor button from toyota was something like $8 for a bluetop bigport. Haven't done a new cap yet.
Yeah.. I had problems finding the proper 3rd party cap, but it is:
Champion JP708 which cost me $35 from Supercheap, plus their order in fee. Is 100% guaranteed fit for AE92 100kw smallport.
Not sure about rotor, mine seemed ok, so just kept the old one running.
I got mine from Repco and it was about $50 for both or around that price.
