Default advice on fitting barrel intercoolers

    Has anyone fitted a barrel intercooler to a mk1 mr2 ?
I am worried about air trapped in system just like the problems with the engine cooling system.Any hints and tips on bleeding it efficently ?

small header tank at the highest point. Push air out of the system using a garden hose, you don't need much glycol as it's not likely to boil, just a bit to prevent rust. Glycol actually reduces the heat capacity of water. My experience is a water/air IC on a 5cyl Audi, using a a/c core as a radiator and a RS liberty coolant pump. Hope this helps!

heat rises, so have the pump sucking from the bottom of the i/c radiator
