why?
youll need a new manifold before you outrun the throttlebody
Would anyone know who makes an aftermaket throttle body that will bolt to the stock 1uz tps? looking for an 80mm model.

needed as i need to re locate the original.
so what other tps will work and still adapt to an aftermarket throttle?
edit can be 80 or 90mm
If you are using an aftermarket ecu then it doesn't matter which TPS you use, they all output the same signal.
As others have said, the 1UZ TB is plenty big enough, cut the TRC throttle off it, shorten it and reuse?
cheers no worries. might do the series 1 r33 gtst tps which seems to be popular.
with the engine sitting so far back things are quite tight in that area. will be using 3inch intake piping so may as well run the same size throttle. intake mainfold will be honed out to 75-80mm which looks to be possible.
Are you sure you have your terminology right?
a TPS is the little black electronic box on the side of the throttle body.

If you've decided to hone the stock one to 75mm, then why don't you also use the stock TPS?
I don't see why you would change the TPS?
Cheers
Wilbo
The stock throttle body is 70mm (not 65mm).
AFAIK its the largest cable actuated throttle body Toyota do.
If you are using an aftermarket ecu then you can use almost ANY tps on the market. Most of them put out the same signal (and if they don't you can program the ecu to accept what the tps puts out.
Wilbo, he's talking about honing out the stock manifold (where the TB bolts on). Honing out a throttle body more than a mm or 2 is near on impossible (unless you find a throttle blade from another body that happens to fit.

yep honing of manifold.
running aftermarket so ecu isnt a prob.
either if i move or replace the standard throttle, will still need to make a flange plate to adapt to the inlet manifold.
Correct. I might have a swap fo you though mate.. I have an adapter with an apppropruately sized magna throttle body on it that might save you heart ache.. I could use the 1uz one.. Pm me if your interested .
yeah you dont need to change the throttle position sensor (TPS), theres usually only two types, switched and plain resistance types. Im pretty sure all ECUs can be setup to accept either.
