The gge/ge manual is in English as these engines were sold overseas (UK). The gte manual is in Japanese only as these engines were not sold outside Japan as far as I am aware.
Like most people I search the gte manual for specific information often using the gge/ge manual as a guide as the order of the manual is similar. I have also approached Japanese speakers on occassions for help.
Not possible for me to provide a list of all the differences.

Somewhere on this forum there is a copy of both as someone has scanned them in. Both are still available from Toyota (or were)
The 1G-E and 1G-GE for the GX 71 Cressida
The 1G-GTEU and 1G-GZEU has the reference numbers 1985-10 with revisions for 1989 5 and 12. It also has a reference to 63005
