Whats a rough cost for the stroker that you're doing?

Is it the same as 6boost was/did do with the gen3 offset crank? Pm if you'd rather.

i paid 2500 for the "2g" that kedderz is talking about, its a HKS motor.
has forgies, the stroker crank cast by HKS, standard rods polished to the shit house, adjustable cam gears and depending what one you get 264 or 272 cams, i bought my 272s seperate, pretty sure my motor came with 264

got my crank crack tested the day i got the motor, all good, the rest i can replace, so i was happy.

becareful who you get to do the offset grinding if you go down that path with the 1g, talking to crankshaft engineering, who do kyles ones, they said theyre bastards to do cause the crank deflects when they grind it, so they continually have to check it, hence it being so dear to do...

You got a 2g as well?
Were the valve stem seals the same as the normal 1ggte, considering the hks heads come with hks oversized valves im not sure (mine is still on the boat from japan)

mine is yet to be pulled down, ive only owned it for about 18 months

my car is about to get on a boat, once thats here, registered, then caged, then steering converted to RHD, unless i keep it LHD, then the motor will go in, basic tune, then hte motor will come out and get pulled apart and i will be able to let you know.

but i think you will beat me so let me know haha

i would hazard a guess they will be the same, cause those VSS suit about 50 million different toyota motors

18 months, wow I definately could not wait that long, especially when I know just how long it took for me to find one worth buying!

    haha i have to.
no chance im gonna run a fresh built motor without a tune, gotta get a basic tune on the prick before i rebuild it.

i just stumbled upon mine, car had already been de-registered for rebuilding.
which is only now really starting to happen, importing a 2 door ke70

    Gidday

I have both a 1ggeu manual and a 1ggteu manual. They both specify 650 kg-cm (47 ft-lb or 64 N-m) torque for the head bolts. It is also important to note that the order of removing bolts for taking the head off is different that for putting it back on.

    Removal

    exhaust 3 7 11 13 10 6 2

    front

    Inlet 1 5 9 14 12 8 4

    exhaust 12 8 4 2 10 5 9 13

    Peplace

    Inlet 14 10 6 1 3 7 11

Both should be done in 3 passes.

    Cheers Craig
