Default Cressida MX83 Rear Too High

Hey guys, My cressida is way too high in the rear. Is there different springs I can get to put in the back. Could the ones I have already be the wrong ones or a towing option maybe? Have a look at the pics and give me your opinion. Thanks.

Funny thing is the front looks fine, not lowered, just fine.

nope that's how they come stock, definitely needs some lowering!

    options are:
    - coilovers (though the only available one's in Aus seem to be JIC's which aren't rebuildable or expensive to rebuild, so take your chances), i have seem some Tein one's but you'll have to get some from Jap
    - king springs are available off the shelf, which will make the car look normal but not enough drop in my opinion
    - best option is this combo:
    Front:
    SXA10 1994-2000 Toyota RAV4
365-093 Front pair, insert cartridge (KYB)
    Rear:
    MA70 1986-1992 Toyota Supra
341-070 Rear pair, replacement strut, with springseat (KYB)

    good luck

Ive got my car lowered with kings, and its low enough that I drag my mudflaps on everything, and my exhaust on 50% of the other stuff..

Have a look in my members ride thread for pics.

yeah definately the rav 4 / ma70 combo.

if you just want to do the back - call wholesale suspension in penrith, order ma70 rear KYB shocks, and lowered rear mx83 king springs. All you have to do is tap the ma70 spring seat off and replace it with the old mx83 ones. Search and you`ll find plenty on how to do it.

even the king low's for mx83 arent really low enough if u ask me.

going to get mine reset so it sits level with the front

Its an individual thing i personally think low looks cool but too low is a pain to live with. I dont see the point in a car you cant get up driveways in or you have to go 2kph at 45 degrees over speedbumps. You can have a low without being ridiculous ride height with the right spring rate and shocks and still get handling without scraping your guts on everything higher than a piece of gravel.

It is possible they put different shocks in the back of the car for towing its not unheard of in any sedan
Wish I had a F#%ken awesome toyota.. saving for the goodness now.... stay tuned....
