Default Where to get manifold for Dellorto to 2tb engine

    Hey there.

Just finished up rebuilding a set of 40mm Dellorto DHLA's to go in the Celica. All i need to source now is the manifold for the carbs. BUT, no luck so far.....

Anyone know where to get it?

    Hiya

my knowlegde about the 2t engines is very limited, but is it the "regular" 2t-b manifoild ur looking for or is it a special one for the dellortos?

I have a 2t-b manifoild laying around, but as far as i know its the stock 2t-b manifoild, so i dunno if thats any help for u.

    PM me TA22denmark.

Redline/Hardiman here in Australia make a suitable dual sidedraught manifold for the 2T. It can be used with either the 40 or 44 Mikuni/Solex and can be ported a fair bit too. I can supply one of these and make up a suitable balance bar linkage to suit the Dellortos.

Or I have a used OEM Mikuni 2T one to which I can make a similar linkage set up.

    Happy to ship to Denmark.

    Regards

    Hi,

i'm not 100% but aren't the 2t/2tg port spavings the same, as well as the 3t/3tg ones? Therefor all you'd need is the 2tg inlet manifold? Pretty sure you could pick one of them up for about $40 aus if you look hard enough.

Not sure about the port spacing but the bolt pattern is definitely incompatible between OHV and DOHC versions of the T series engines.

I'll say as well. The bolt spacing is completly different and would take more effort to modify than to buy the correct manifold.
The port spacing is identical, so I suppose if you have access and abilities to weld cast alloy to reshape the mouting flange and redrill to suit the T motor then it could become cost effective. Certainly would not want to pay someone.

port spacing on the 2tc, 2tg and 3tc are the same, the bolt pattern is different for the 2tg but can be made to work.

look in my link for my ke20 with the 3t in it, not sure what page but im pritty sure one of them shows how i made mine.

    cheers, dan

Lets get back to topic ;-)

Will 2T-C fit (port spacing and bolt pattern) the 2T-B head?

Actually, Rodger have helped me out...(Thanks Rodger). I highly recommend talking to him if you ever think of doing side drafts....

im 99% sure the bolt/port spacing for the 2tc and 2t-b are the same.

but the 2t- b used twin downdraught carbys that looked like the stock downdraught 2t-c carby.

so i might be readying the thread wrong but i dont see how u can use a 2tb manifold to run sidedraught carbys.

hope this help you, not confuses you.

    hI,

The 2t-b is a 2t-c engine but with twin down draught carbies. I'm fairly sure you can find 2t-c twin sidedraught carbs manifold if u hunt for it. I'm sure lynx or redline or someone made then somewhere along the line....

They are sidedraughts with a DCOE bolt pattern:

    http://www.dellorto.co.uk/merchandis...artsectionID=1

Going by the OP's other thread he has found a DCOE manifold for a 2T-C but wants to know if it will fit on his 2T-B. This question has already been answered but apparently not to his satisfaction, so I will repeat it here: the 2T-C and 2T-B are the SAME ENGINE. One has a single downdraught carb while the other has two of them, but the engine itself is the same in either case. It follows that all manifolds are 100% interchangeable.
