    Default bigport rwd conversion..HELP..

    Hi All
In Desperate need of help. I have used search and coudnt find this info.

I have taken 4AGE bigport from AE82 Standard flywheel.... Gearbox from AE71,,

Sounded easy but it doesnt work, wont disengage and stalls when depressed.

What combination of clutch plate..pressure plate and throwout bearing do i use.???
Does 4age clutch fit Ae71 input shaft.??

That should all work. AE82 clutch splines suit AE71 box. Sounds like it might be a problem with your throwout bearing.

    As for the other questions:
    - Clutch plate, use any 4AC/4AGE clutch plate which matches the clutch surface diameter. The AE82 flywheel should have a 200mm diameter clutch surface. But there are also 212mm flywheels available and it may have been swapped in its life.

    - Pressure plate, again any 4AC/4AGE pressure plate to match either 200 or 212mm flywheel

    - Throwout bearing, Use an AE71 throwout bearing and carrier.

ae86drivingclub.com wiki has a bunch of info about flywheel and clutch compatibility.

I need a working 4AGE bottom end. Pref smallport GZE, but all others considered. Also complete motors.
Drift Volvo. Was fun. 2JZ next time.

The worst part is that it was just a engine/gearbox swap.

I drove it into the garage with the 18R and clutch worked perfect as it has done for last 5 years..So i think it must be something ive changed.
