Default R154 1jz abs sensor to Soarer speed sensor 2?

    Hi,
I've finally got the manual conversion in for the Soarer.
But I'm getting ETC warning on dash, after much reading, seems its caused by open circuit to what used to be Speed sensor number 2 in the auto box that has been taken out(magnetic one)

My question is can I use the abs/speed sensor that is already in the R154 from the mk3 supra and wire that up to where the speed sensor 2 was?

Problem being the speed sensor 2 from the auto box is two wire (pink , purple)
abs sensor in r154 is 3 wire (pink, red, black)

    Any ideas?

If im reading your question correctly the r154 speed sensor should have a signal wire, power and earth, if you find 12v (like cigarette lighter) and earth it all you should need to do is tap into the speed signal wire on your ecu?
Im not 100% sure but it could work.

Surprisingly sometimes dtc code #42 means not what you actually think of. Depending on exact ECU there's either STA/NSW input pins in it or full set of P/R/N/D/2/L pins or even both. Make sure these pins are properly connected/fooled.

One solution is to make your ECU think the car is parked grounding the NSW pin. This would not lead to any driveability restrictions.

As for 1- and 2-wire sensors. Take a digital meter tool. Turn ignition on. You will read some 0.7V off one wire and some 4V off another. Connect your 1-wire speed sensor to the 4v wire, that should do it.
