Toyota Nationals 2010 - A National Toyota Event

After I get my cam cover back early next week, my car "should" be running again.
Once it is, I'll be able to confirm what I can enter into.

Tony, if you want a hand, let me know. I have just done that job pretty much completely by myself, and almost do it with my eyes closed.
Planning on doing anything else besides the clutch? Should be able to knock that over in a weekend.

Cheers Steve, I might take you up on that.

The list looks like, Clutch, new flywheel, timing belt, water pump and lots-a seals n stuff. I am also thinking of pulling the exhaust manifold and possibly turbine housing and getting them ceramic coated to try and control temps and thermal efficiency of the turbo a little. Undecided on that.

So yeah, I don't plan on doing it over a single weekend. I am guessing there will be a couple of weeks between remove and install.

just fitted my new wheel studs, still have to fit new rear rotors and put some bits back into the engine bay.

Don't stress too much aout the entry forms, you can always sign up on the Friday. Best to do it after you wash your car and get on the grog though....

Are there public car wash facilities in Dubbo, or does no one mind you borrwing a hose somewhere and doing it in a carpark?

They're is a public car wash in Dubbo they aren't that backwards. I generally give mine a wash & polish the day before heading up and a quick clean on the Friday arvo. Planning on just using Maguires waterless stuff for a spruce up in the car park this time round.

Last year it was pissing down rain so I just chamois'd it off on the saturday morning.

Yeah there's a car wash about 5 min from the Matilda, I'll never forget my first time there getting the stink-eye from one of the locals while the rest of his family plotted how to kill me because Norbie took more than 30 seconds to wash his Century and me being next in line caused them to wait even longer.........ahhhh Dubbonians

i chamoixed the dirt off my st184 last year...but then, it was a 184 so who cared...aslso, i wondered why eveyrone else car was so clean after driving so far...theres a carwash...damn.
