Default Faulty Coolant Temp Sensor UZZ31.

    Hey guys,

I have an error mesage on my dash translating to "engine electrical error" and after performing a diagnostics, it comes up as EFI Error 22 - Coolant Temp Sensor.

I called supercheap auto and they can order me in a Tridon sensor, part number TCS032. Can anyone tell me if this is the correct one before I order?

Thanks heaps for that! It looks pretty much identical. The only reason I ask is that I was quoted $80 for toyota sensor and $41.00 for the Tridon sensor (from supercheap auto).

They are a universal-fit type item - same part number fits my AW11 perfectly.
The above opinion is just that - my opinion. It is not shared by any business that I am currently or have previously been involved with, nor any of their employee's.

Sweet. I called up Toyota in Northbridge and got quoted $66.00 for the sensor, but he's ordered me in an ACA sensor for $48.00 instead... Will have it tomorrow and if I have time I'll put it in on the weekend. I'm hoping it solves my issues once and for all (dash warning message, and crap idle on cold start and sluggish performance).

    Thanks guys.

    Hey Z,

I put the sensor in on the weekend and reset the ECU (remove fuse and -ve battery terminal). Fired her up and she idled perfect (cold start) and no error code... took her for a spin around the block and she ran great! I hope that helps...
