link shows nothing?
Hey guys,
What is done with situations where a user constantly posts absolute shit?
This user's last 10-15 posts are posts that seem to be posted to try and create an argument, or just to plainly be a cocksnag.
The worst posts are postings in the Tech section (ie. in threads of someone asking for assistance and having a post of "this is possibly the gayest thread ever") which have no relevance to anything that has been said in that thread, or in other threads.
For the posts in my thread, I happily ignored them, but I don't think everyone else will react the same.

sorry twentyEight maybe my satire isnt coming through, or im not addin enough tounge in cheek faces as river does
regards to posts in ur your thread, epic build. im a big fan
regards to tech and conversions, i thought about neg repping for shit posts but seemed way to harsh on new users
im happy to STFU though and just let the dribble roam free
All good then, it all seemed very out of character for you.

toymods has mellowed since i first got on here hey, i remember when i 17 when i first go my celica and was askin how to change out my 18r for an 18rg and being flamed and neg repped to the stone ages
nowadays thats unacceptable, it used to be hangin shit on a mate uve never met before in another state and we had a laugh and then a few beers at the next show to see who the funny kent behind the keyboard is. the tech used to concise and those that dribbled shit were pulled straight into line and probably went on to contribute good info or just plain fucked off. with the exception of kingmick who did both. intermittently
now weve got fuckwits that want titanium exhausts and etc
theyre are threads for ppl contest he said and she said for 20 rep points ffs. i rkn if a bit more STFU was posted by more experienced members (read: anyone who knows what theyre talking about) the mods could have more time to contend with the large volumes of members that we have, wrather than fixing e-dick points
if you take a closer look, its not just my posts. and moreover look at the lck of interest now from dudes like grim performance, roadrunner and the likes seem to show a lot less enthusiam if posting at all
sure some them were ****s. but they were our ****s

haha funny you should say that. im in the hospital at the processing plant at moomba. went down with heat stress and somehow contracted pig flu slash bronchitis fever shit. my core temp when i got choppered in from the rig yesterday was 39.7 just 1 degree cooler than outside
now im on a cocktail of steroids, antibiotics, painkillers and have to sit on a respirator every 4 hrs
Hi,
Roadrunner is doing two jobs so his time is very limited here... well that's what I've been told.
Grim is also busy, but what keeps him away is the constant PMing from newbs who ask dumb questions, or want a 1000kw car made for fuck all money.
Even look at Supra1978 who rarely posts as each time he sells something he is bombarded with PMs about how expensie he is, or ppl trying to low-ball him.
These are things that have happened over time, and not an instant thing.
With over 14,000 members we do have our fair share of dunderclumps. And, the rep system is still in place to slap someone, plus the infraction system is now about to also slap the idiots.
We, as mods, cannot control what ppl say. As time goes by and new members come along and old members change their life and move away, things will change. This doesn't mean the evolving changes are better or worse than before.. it's just they are different. And, in another 5 years it will be different again.
Such is life.

I dunno if I agree with you on the 'Levin' post Sillycars.
TERRA has spent a lot of time doing modifications to his Levin, and he documents them very well. He's not a dreamer, and is serious about putting a 3SGTE into his car. Whilst personally I would stick in a stock motor first and see how rediculous the traction issue is, while he wants to build his first. Not my idea, but everyone is different.
You might not like the idea of a powerful FWD car, but if you've driven an AE101 Levin you'd know they they really a awesome car to drive. Great seating position, light, smooth, grippy, everything is in the right spot, all the mod cons are there and they've got some JDM pizazz inside. The only things they lack are some decent power and RWD, one of which obviously doesn't concern him.
Everything else you've said I agree with.
i will concede its not my cup of tea and 'each to their own' kind of thing
i took the time to look at terras website before i made the comment and was thouroughly impressed with his depth of knowledge on an engine i know nothing about nor have any desire to own, yet still it does have my respect
however i commented in that way anyway to play devils advocate against the many replies of 'yeah thats sik man, do it' because there are many, many people on here who are willing to spend other peoples money where it doesnt need to be spent because 'they read it on the interwebs'. and to terras credit he replied approapriately
hey, maybe im just jealous i dont have the same kind of budget for my car

this makes a lot of sense
also, I had no intention of singuling anyone out and will edit the post if necessary and definately dont claim to know these people. but from what i get these are serious dudes when it comes to building cars and i do see less of a presence these days, which is a shame. just a reflection on the culture shift
