My bro has a KE55 coupe that he will never finish. I'll call him names until he agrees to sell if you want.
Car must be RWD Toyota, over 800kg, and affordable to buy into a car that is not a shitbox.
I am thinking KE30, RT104, or early Hilux....?

I have an RA65 that needs some kind of 3S motor to go with the MA61 rear end bits ... i might need to do a lot testing of a new engine first tho.![]()

i would also give the RT104 the thumbs-up though.

RT104 or ST141.
Coronas are the new old good bad sexy ugly hotness.
The 18R-G. The GOOD 2 Litre Tractor motor.
yeah i had a RT104 with some jellybeans, jacked up ass and 225's on the rear given to me one, AND DAMN IT WAS SEXY!

easiest would be an sw20 you can pick up early aus delivered examples for the 3k mark with blown NA motors.
or an st165/st185 celica's are cheap with blown motors. seen straight and clean unregistered st185's for sub 1k.
but i'm guessing you want something that the 3s didnt com in standard?
i was looking at an early rav4 the other day, those ones you typically see in that weird aqua/green colour. 3SGE standard
aside from its looks, it'd be a ripper of a sleeper! imagine the egos you'd shatter, having been minced by an aqua, lift kitted corolla![]()

Ok well the AE82 is GONE but I still have the driveline. Assuming noone buys it for a reasonable price I will have no choice but to put it into something else
Very cool idea but there's something very wrong with the back of KE55s. The vents, lip and sunbird-looking taillights are all sorts of wrong. KE30/35 all good though, they look great and in fact I really like the look of the sedans!
Perhaps an IRS RT142 might be the go? Reasonably strong rear end, disc brakes all round, easy front brake upgrades, reasonable handling potential, light weight, cheap and plentiful parts, factory EFI, easy for engineering being 2.4 down to 2.0t, and farking cheap to buy.
...or maybe an old crown?

Datto Ute or Mazda 1000 ute would be hot as, old-school cool, ultra light and with the right rear end setup and slicks, would not need much more than 200rwkw to run a 10 second quarter. Would give your bike a run for its money.... until the turbo is on it, that is...
If you can find an '86 manual RT142 grab it! You can sell the stock engine for a decent amount and they have IRS the same as MA61s, W55 gearboxes and as you probably already know R33 calipers with BA rotors bolt up. From there you need to get a manual bellhousing from a 3Y powered tarago or hilux (needs a minor mod) and a flywheel from an SXE10 Altezza or IS200 and new engine mounts and you're set!
I have an unwanted ST141 with advante discs. The previous owner had it mod plated for a 1G-GTE (which is destined for my RA28). I had intended to sell it as a standard car later on but if this suits your needs you are welcome to it.
AW11 is the place to keep a 3S I reckon.
