    Default OST @ Motorvation 2006

    * Copied from old Toymods Forums

    Hey all..

well my rounding up of entries has come to an end - they've all been shipped off to the crew at the Quit Motorplex.

Officially I have 12 cars entered according to my database. Thats a pretty good turnout for the OST debut at MV.
Some other clubs are strugling along with 5 or 6 cars. hehe
Plus I've asked to leave some room for last minute entries like Chris...

So I know y'all wanna know who else is officially joining us. Here's a list of people and the cars they'll be showing:

    1. Steven Crawford - 1971 Datsun 1600
    2. Gene Schneider - 1974 Toyota Celica
    3. Lauren Joyce - 1977 Toyota Celica
    4. Damien Ferraz - 1983 Toyota Supra
    5. Ross Taylor - 1987 Toyota Cressida
    6. Meggan Jeary - 1988 Mitsubishi Cordia
    7. Rob Arcus - 1988 Toyota Supra
    8. Ali Henrisson - 1989 Toyota Corolla CSX
    9. Adam Barrett - 1989 Toyota Soarer
    10. Dean Goodwin - 1991 Toyota Camry
    11. John Naughton - 1991 Toyota Supra
    12. Ben McIntosh - 1992 Toyota Supra R

Thanks to all above who got their entries to me on time.

Now we get into the nitty gritty of displays, tents, seating, signage.. etc etc.. Yay, more organising fun!

HAHAHA, use one of my shirts for shade. LOL
well WA salvage had big umbrella's for $150 they may also have tent type setups.
I reckon we find what we need the divide the cost by all those going and get a collection team going.

yeah man.. sounds good.. cos I'm a poor ass and can't afford to fork out big dollars for everyone. if its $20 here and there.. its not that bad - but if the costs are high, I might start asking for financial support to get things happening..

    time to do some shopping!

I'll organise a couple of bikies to come and do the door knocking/money collecting/knee breaking for us.

Does anyone work at WA Salvage/Bunnings??? We need to get one of those marquee setups.

We will be on a powered site, so if any one has ideas on what to do to entertain 10+ guys and 2+ chicks, please post them.
Does any one have like a tv/projector they are allowed to move for a weekend? and a dvd player.
what about one of those game systems like playstation/xbox/nintendo/megadrive.
hey that'd be cool get one of those "Old Skool" computer game systems like the first nintendo(the one with mario and duck hunt), show them how old skool we are.

Music setup. cos running someones car the whole weekend would be bad. anyone here a dj with decks and amps and speakers and wot not.

lights, god said let there be light, I can organise a few big band lights, they use a shit load of juice tho, but i think they will be bright enough and hot enough to change a few weather patterns.

Somewhere to horde our drinks(and by drinks I mean after hours drinks). My boot will be mostly empty(I can't afford a sound system), apart from a toolbox and camry being australias largest boot I can fit two large eskys, one will be mine so the othe spot, you lot can argue over. Can we please have more volunteers for esky space? as food and drink prices at motorplex are outrageous. pack plenty of water for during the day as it will be the heat of summer, plenty of snacky foods, and double both of those in alcohol for the night time.

alright now we need other suggestions! Please put in your 2 cents or 1 cent, anything....

I can maybe vaulenteer my TV for the weekend + DVD player.. plus a selection of car related DVD's (I think the count is up to about 10 various now)..

Thought about suppling decks and speakers for tunes over the weekend.. but the gear is really too expensive to leave around.. and vinyl tends to warp in the 40 degree days.. so that quickly got crossed off the list.
Maybe just a stereo and CD's in case people get bored of DVD's?..

Majority of the time I'll be off checkin out girls, other cars, driving events, checking out girls or just crusing laps in the OST cruiser anyhoo.. so entertainment is a bit of a low priority for me at the moment, given the entertainment that will be surrounding us..

Wa salvage just advertised tent/gazebo/ things on the tele 3metres by 3 metres is $20.
I reckon two of those would be sweet.
problem is there is no sides on them. I guess we just attach a tarp and be done with it.
