Can you loosen up what ever is on the other end of the tubing so that it can move into alignment a little easier.
Turn the bolt backwards/counter-clockwise, pushing down slightly, until you feel its first thread drop into place at the start of the threads.
Some grease/gasket cement/thread sealant may help keep the washer in place.

careful not to cross it, that would be a bitch.

if you can do up the banjo end first, that would be good too

I'm pretty sure the bolt is going into the block, so no chance of moving that.

Carlo, I'd bet that the banjo isn't flush with the block, try bending it a little bit.

I think what allen is trying to say is to loosen the other end of the pipe (i.e. at the turbo and drain pipe in block in this case, dont take those bolts out just loosen them off to give you some jiggle room).

But as Cruzida says, it needs to be aligned properly to even have any hope of screwing it in. (Dont be tempted to force it in with spanner).

Some oil or grease should help keep the copper washers in place.

PS when do i get to see this beast carlo ?!?!

cheers guys very good help all a combined effort. took turbo off the manifold again attached the oildrain/oil supply to the block then the turbo took a little uni joins on socket but it worked. issue being banjo not aligned to block with me missing 1 layers of skin on fingers causing me to lose it hahahah. next thing is to replace some dogey AUTO cooler lines and put some fresh fluid! you will see it soon rudi! exhaust is abit to loud for my liking sounds quite homo but will have to do!
