    Thumbs down E-Manage Blue

Hello all im looking at going for an E-Manage blue, now i know toyota ECUs arent very friendly to tuners, and this is a piggyback. So how does it go at being an effective piggy back?

Is anyone happily using a blue piggy back atm?

the main reasons im going from the e-manage is to complete the following, cheaply and effectivly.

    1. safely lean out the mixture to provide better economy nd power.
    2. delete the AFM
    3. allow me to put in my 540s.
    4. allow me to install new cams and get the best from them.

    its for a 3s-gte on a ST185 with a JAP RC ECU..

also are there good tuners out there in VIC..

    so many Qs

    Thank you all

max injectors they can handle is 650cc IIRC

delete afm only buy getting the additional map sensor.

    cams are npz

very good mapping points to lean / rich ur tune for a piggy back anyhow.

    good tuner is NT performance.

I can recommend a chap called Cihan in Melbourne who specializes in tuning (and sales) of Toyota ECUs. I bought my emanage ultimate off him and a number of people on our supra forums have had work done by him and i have heard nothing but praise. Contact info on www.etuner.com.au

E-Manage sounds good since at $500 or so it offers a decent amount of features.

How many tuning points does it have?

16x16 maps for ignition, additional fuel and airflow adjustment maps. You can't reliably delete the AFM with an emanage blue.

you tune fuel with the additional injection and airflow adjustment maps, they're both 16x16.

hahahahahaha...better fuel economy he says as he just purchased a gt30 turbo kit.......

sure off boost it'll be good but once you've had that feeling for right foot will mysteriously start feeling heavier and heavier.

Your better off with the EMU if your going larger injectors . You cant actually change the input/output sizing of the injectors in the EMB . It will run rich and piggy as it cant reliably be done fuel wise . Id suggest selling the Blue and buying the Ultimate . Much easier to tune once going larger injectors .

The Blue is fine for a bit of tuning around factory parameters and tweaking , but the EMU is better for bigger squirters and will also allow removal of AFM as you can buy a Greddy 3Bar map sensor to use with the EMU .
