    Default k series engines question

    hi,

i have recently committed to buy a ke55 coupe and will be the new owner next week (its in immaculate condition only has 120k from new) and am wondering if all k series engine mounts and gearboxes are compatible with each other as i would like to put a 7k or 5k into it for a bit more power.

so if anyone could please help it would be much appreciated

    Cheers nick

oh and heres a quick pic of the ke55

5K is basically a 4K block with larger bore.
7K has a wider block, and deeper sump, so it is not a direct bolt in.
gearboxes all bolt up to engine.

to (4kforeva) pretty much yeah want something with decent power output that can put the back wheels out with ease (wouldn't need much they only weigh 800kg) . but i dont want to spend thousands of dollars to put say a 4age in it just want something that can bolt in with minimal custom fab work and labor.

cheers for the replies guys much appreciated.
