Getting in early for this one
TCCA are having a motorkhana practice day / come and try type day on 31st January 2010.
Motorkhanas are basically run on a grass/dirt paddock and are a great first stop for people wanting to try their hand in motorsport. You run around the flags in a set pattern, and fastest time wins. It sounds lame when I write it, but when you are actually competing its heaps of fun. A few slides along the way is always good value too.
Its held out at Werribee - Gilman Reserve.
CAMS L2 licence is required and your car needs to be safe with nothing loose inside it.
Entry fee is about $30 I think, maybe less.
I will post some more details when I know them - times. actual address, entry fee etc.

I might even do this. If Gearbox gives me his car.........hehe
is there still club cars? the corona was so awesome
lol. its called the poo car i believe! hehe
So hows it work with street going cars, is the grass pretty flat with not may holes, or is it more for cars with rally suspension?
Yes its quite flat and no holes to speak of - its all low speed stuff and done in a flat paddock, quite a few people use road going cars with no ill effects.
only thing you'll get is dirty cos there is no grass just nice flat dirt.
ok cool will have to try make it their then and give it ago
also will we be able to get the L2 cams licence their or will I have to already have one?

would be better to already have one, but the guys can sign you up on the day if you haven't got one. make sure you have your car club membership card with you too.
not hard to do before hand. just need to be a member of a car club and then fill in the cams form
