Default 7mgte - whats this sensor for?

    hey guys
trying to fit thermo's to my 7mgte ma61 - on a 7mge ive always put it in the thermostat housing where there is a hexagonal bung. It is perfect thread for the toyota thermo switch. on my 7mgte it has two sensors in it? one is a spade bit connection - this would be for temp gauge im pretty sure, but there is another single wired switch with a red/ maroon plastic body on it?? (it looks like a thermo switch, with the same plug as an ae92/ sv21 90 degree switch, but i dont know if it is?)
ill try and get a photo, but thought if someone knows what it is for, i might be able to get rid of it?
    thanks

    Air Con switches.
They disable the aircon when the coolant temp is too low I believe.
Check out the TSRM, it explains it all.

Either way, the system works fine without them.

man i cant find anything that directly works off that switch, its not on the aircon system or switch system in the manual....i think it might even be a coolant temp switch for the thermo fans? because 7mgte import supras had 3 electric fans (two small on the inside, one large on outside)

I'm pretty sure they go back to the aircon amplifier.
Check the wiring diagrams section, and the aircon section.
